Our district, the hometown of Ulsan's renowned Hangeul scholar, Choe Hyeon-bae, is also known as the hometown of Hangeul. It holds the roots of Ulsan’s earliest history, with the Taehwagang River and the Taehwagang National Garden nestled right in the heart of the city.
We aim to grow into a city that is “A place everyone wants to visit,”
“A city where people want to stay and live,”
“A city full of sights to see,”
“A city rich in stories,”
“A city that embodies the warmth of its people,”
“A city with future-ready job opportunities,”
and “A city that offers new opportunities for all.”
With a focus on people-first governance and a commitment to a better tomorrow, I will listen closely to the opinions of everyone visiting our website and ensure that they are actively reflected in our policies. Together, we will create a city that resonates with everyone.
Thank you.
Kim Young-gil, Mayor of Jung-gu, Ulsan Metropolitan City
