The symbol of Jung-gu of Ulsan Metropolitan City is derived from the Chinese character “中,” symbolizing the central position, and incorporates the form of a human figure.

This represents Jung-gu's goal of pursuing “people-centered, warm welfare governance.” It also embodies an embracing posture, symbolizing harmony between the citizens and the administration.
